Pottery is a traditional craft in East Africa
The Luo Tribe (third largest in Kenya) is renowned throughout East Africa for their pottery.

These pots are produced from a wonderful clay only available in the Kakamega area of Western Kenya.

The smaller pots are created for domestic use, such as carrying water or for cooking. The larger pots would be used for beer and the ringed pots for storage.
Each pot is individually designed and beautifully hand crafted using methods unique to the Luo tribe
